I'm enraged! In fact, I am livid! That a newly elected government, barely a month into its tenure, has started to show its hand of corruption. I really do not know how Nigeria as a nation got so bad. So bad that we can no longer produce honest and God fearing people to run our affairs. This last election saw Nigerians exhibit their hope for a better nation when they marched to the polls to elect the APC government. They had had enough of the Jonathan regime which was not only grossly corrupt but did stellar works in impoverishing the Nigerian people and depleting the country's national reserve. Buhari and his group of APC politicians were seen as the new messiahs, those who we looked up to, those who from then on were going to navigate our way to the promised land.  But hey! Hold your horses! Our own Canaan land is definitely more than 40 years away! Our senate leader in the name of Saraki, has indicated that we will be staying put in Egypt for much longer it seems.

Well, if like me, you have not been living under the rock or burying your head in the sand (well...that;s not to say that I haven't done the same), then you will be aware of the staggering $43 million dollars wardrobe allowance which was given our Legislooters (Yes! I said it! They are nothing short of that!).  This is for wardrobe o!! What happens when these neer-do-wells wants cars? Television? Blenders? I mean, when does the ridiculous become insane? How many slaps must these evil blood sucking vampires deal us? It is sickening to say the least, and as much as I have tried to ignore it, like many ill stories that emanate from that country, I just haven't been able to shake it off.

At this juncture, I wonder where the so called civil societies are? Where are those that protested against the increase of fuel subsidy? Did they die? Where is Yinka Odumakin? Oh, yes, I remember now, he no longer has time for the poor masses since Jonathan has paid him handsomely to keep away. He now live among the high and mighty and so can no longer be bothered to spread himself in the hot scorching sun of Lagos protesting for commoners. Oh yes! He rolls with the high class now. Where is Pastor Bakare? What is Soyinka saying about this? Most importantly: WHAT ARE YOU SAYING ABOUT IT!!!??

When do we get some relief? When will we truly smile? We voted APC but now we are getting PDP in double folds!

I sorry for Nigeria...
